Pho Saigon

I would never go back to this place. First of all, I understand that a Vietnamese restaurants can probably charge a premium just because there aren't as many competitions around but $7.95 for a medium bowl of Pho is ridiculous.

I visited this restaurant last weekend with my husband as we've been craving Pho since we recently moved into West Rouge area. When we googled for pho near our place, this was the closest restaurant serving pho, so we headed over to check it out. To my dismay, they did not have a size small and their sizes started at medium. So I ordered a medium and my husband ordered a large as the server kept saying, it's only one dollar more for large.

When we received our food, my rare beef and tripe Pho had all the sliced beef already submerged in the soup thus over-cooking the meat. I think I found exactly 8 pieces of shriveled up tripe. So much for rare beef pho. My husband's large pho came in almost same size bowl as my medium so we even put them side by side to see if there was a difference. If the large bowl was indeed larger, it might have been by 1mm in diameter. Needless to say, they had filled my husband's large with similar amount of noodle as what I had in my medium and the rest with broth.

$20 for two very disappointing bowls of Pho later, Even if it means driving an extra 10 minutes to other Vietnamese restaurants in Scarborough, I will never go back to Pho Saigon. Over-priced food with fake smiles....not a very good combination and definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

Went for lunch. Ordered the Chicken Red Thai Curry - very spicy, but very good

They need to offer wine by the glass as well as the beer.
If that is not possible offer- BYOW ( Bring Your Own Wine) - and charge a corkage fee.
In this day and age one must at least offer beer and wine on the menu.
Besides a nice glass of wine only compliments the flavours!
Hope to see things change soon as we look forward to a return visit.

Don't understand the negative reviews. My husband and I order take out from Pho Saigon once every couple weeks. The chicken noodle soup is my new comfort food, and we love the spring rolls and fresh rolls. Great staff, cheap, quick dinner.

I can't believe Pho Saigon is getting poor reviews. I have never had a bad experience there. the prices are great, the portions are good and i have always found the food delicious. It's a great place to eat

I felt compelled to write something after reading some of the negative reviews. My family and I have visited the restaurant several times and found the food very good and excellent service. You must go in and try for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

Pho Saigon is terrible. Do yourself a favour and go to Mcdonald instead!!

Extremely disappointing! The food is overpriced and portions are small. It is just a bowl of MSG broth with the cheapest quality noodle that could be found. No depth in flavour and leaves you thirsty for water all day. Drive 10min west into Scarborough and get yourself a tastier bowl of noodles.

This place used to be quite good it has began to stink as of late...the prices have gone up, the portions got smaller and it is little more than a crappy chinese restaurant now...the last 2 orders have had no taste whatsoever...don't waste your money on this place...even the thai food is now at the back of the menu...TERRIBLE.

I visited the Pickering Pho Saigon for lunch - excellent service (attentive, prompt), wonderful food, plenty of variety on the menu, and a pleasant atmosphere. All in all - I highly recommend this restaurant, in all areas. Laurie

We had lunch and dinner on many occasions at both locations and were allways pleasently surprized about the friendly service, the great food and the decent portions.We have moved to Germany in the mean time but are very much looking forward to our next visit to Pho Saigon on our next trip back to Ontario.
