The chicken wings are the worst (breaded) yuk heavy tasting wings ive had, overcooked, gross!! The so called blue cheese is not real, its ranch and mixed with a miniscule amount of bluecheese. If you ask for salt & pepper, vinegar, watch out, as the dark haired waitress there will not bring it until you are finished your meal & dont need it anymore. Thats all we have eaten there our first visit, (& last) the beer (Keiths) was good, nice & cold. One waitress, super bitchy, must have been too busy, & trying to do too much, then when I complained to her she got her back up big time & pawned us off on a really nice waitress.

The restaurant is under new management with a new menu. The entire interior has been repainted a dark muddy brown. The curtains were all drawn - presumably so that the TVs showing FIFA World Cup matches would be more visible - leaving the restaurant cold and dark.

I ordered a pint of Rickards Red - which was flat. My companion had a Guinness which was fine. We were given menus, but if there were any daily specials we weren't told of them, nor was there anything indicated on any blackboards. I chose the only vegetarian entre I could see - a grilled vegetable wrap which came with fries. The wrap was average, the fries were soggy, almost uncooked. My companion chose a club sandwich which came as piece of chicken on a hamburger bun with three small strips of bacon and some lettuce and tomato. His sandwich was accompanied by the same soggy fries.

Once our food arrived we were completely ignored and no offer was made to refill our pints. The servers were busy insisting that a party of six not sit at a large corner table, but instead share three small tables pulled together, despite the fact that the restaurant was mostly empty.

After shoving our plates aside, we flagged a waitress to pay and leave. We won't be going there again. Too bad, because it used to be one of our local favourites.

The food is outstanding, the service great. The pub has a cozy neighborhood feel.
